One of the most popular places you will find folks in the summer is Fairfield Lake. A 56 acre paradise where young and old swim, canoe, kayak, and fish. For those wishing to bring their own kayak or canoe, storage is available. Paddle boats, a small sail boat, canoes and kayaks may also be rented. Meadow Lake, Hogback Lake, and the Horsepasture River provide additional opportunities for fishing or canoeing.

Additional amenities available to the members at greatly reduced rates and at a "pay only if you play" basus are 8 har tru tennis courts, a 9 hole executive Red Bird Golf Course and Sapphire National a beautiful 18 hole mountain golf course. Special rates at Red Bird allow everyone to enjoy a golfing experience for $40/week/person for unlimited play. What a way for the family to play together and build families memories. In January you will find those folks hitting the slopes to learn how to ski. Snow boarders are welcome as well. If you are not a skier, head to the "Tuby", a fun snow tubing experience.

There are local restaurants close by whether it is Micas-open year round or the Four Seasons Grill next to the ski lift offering fabulous seafood. Asbeys serving your morning coffee and breakfast as well as yummy lunches and dinner. Just new on the scene is the Cork and Barrel offering great wines and tappas. In the Sapphire Mountain Brewing Company at the Sapphire National Clubhouse you can sip on an ale or try one of their wonderful brick oven pizzas.
