Spring

Spring comes to Glenville with fresh run off from the March rains into Lake Glenville.  Heaviest rainfall for the year is in March with almost 9 inches.  The streams that feed the mighty Lake are:  Hurricane Creek, Norton Creek, Mill Creek, Cedar Creek, and Pine Creek.  You can find your favorite angle throwing in his line to catch walleye and small mouth bass.  Mid 50's to high60's provides perfect weather for hiking, biking, and fishing. 

Summer

Summer is a popular time on the lake.  Vacation home owners return to enjoy the cool summer breezes off the lake. Typical summer temperatures are in the mid to upper 70's. Boating, swimming, skiing, jet skiing, and fishing are popular activities to build wonderful family memories.  Andrews Park located on Pine Creek Road at the north end of the lake provides public access 80 acres has been devoted with picnic tables, sand beaches, and a great boat launch for those that do not have their own private docks.  Water front lots and lake front homes are in high demand on the lake.

Fall

Fall is ushered in with cooler weather and beautiful rainbow colors.  Maple trees provide the most brilliant reds to popular's the warm yellows.  September and October temperatures range from the low 60's to the low 70's.  Trout will make their reappearance closer to the surface of the lake liking those cooler temperatures.

Winter

Winter comes to Glenville with average temperatures in the 40's.  For those liking privacy and the quietness of the lake a warm winter day provides the perfect time to canoe or kayak.  The lake normally does not freeze over.  However, in 1983 we had an extreme low in December of -11 below.  If 1983 was cold, December of 1951 warmed the lake in December with 72.  A snowflake here and there is a beautiful welcome sight.

One thing you can be sure of, our weather variety makes one never tires of the four seasons.
