  2.  Items can be rented or some may need to be purchased.
  3. The average cost to stage is $500-$700 and generally takes 2-6 hours to complete.
  4. Location will have an effect on both time to complete as well as on the cost.
  5. Only the great room and dining area are necessary and maybe one bedroom.
  6. First impressions are important.
  7. It helps the buyer place their furnishings in the home.
  8. An over crowded home can have a negative effect by making the home appear smaller.
  9. A clean home is most important.
  10. If furnishings are totally out of date, unclean, or tattered, these are not an asset and you might consider removing those pieces.
Homes priced over $600,000 tend to benefit the most from staging.  However, staging is important for all price point levels.  If there is an interest in the home, having a chair or sofa to sit and visit lets the client get a feel of being there.
